Did this board over the winter for my wife to use. You don't need a lot of tools or years of woodworking experience to build one of these boards, just time and patience. It is very helpful to watch the online videos. You can customize the layout anyway you want to make it your own. I used 3/16" cedar on the bottom and 1/4" Cyprus, Mahogany and Walnut on the top, the rails are Cyprus and Mahogany 1/4". Personalizing decals with rice paper was also a neat idea, also hand carved the sea shell in the bow, I have paw prints on the top in memory of my best friend Calvin. We christened her on July 4th, 2024 at Lower Bolton Lake Ct. She paddles very smooth and stable with my wife on board (approx. 130#). I did try it and it still supported me at approx. 190# but sat lower in the water and not as stable. So I now have another project for the fall..........the 11' 4" model. Can't wait to start!!!!!

The frame kit arrived promptly, and I had it fully assembled in just over an hour. I watched the entire series of YouTube videos that Jarvis has produced, and it gave me amazing results. The final coat of epoxy is just setting up a I write this, and I've already ordered another frame kit, so I can build the touring model. I can't wait to hit the water with my new board!
