Frequently Asked Questions
Boards typically take between 20 and 60 hours to complete depending on the size of the board, prior experience and complexity of the design. Your board can be built step by step, on your own schedule, whether this is an after-work hobby or you're a weekend warrior.
Your order may arrive in multiple parts do to production schedules & warehousing locations.
Frame Kits: We laser cut and ship these to-order and average a 2-day turnaround but this can vary by demand. Usually no longer than a week.
Lumber: Lumber is milled to order and typically ships within a week to two weeks.
We’ve designed our kits so that they can be built using a limited number of expensive tools. At a minimum you’ll need a good sander, a block plain, clamps, a handsaw and router.
Yes! Although we cannot ship certain supplies like epoxy & varnish, we can ship our Frame Kits most places in the world.
No! Our kits are designed to be built on a flat level work surface. One way is to use a board across two sawhorses. Alternatively, you could build this "Multi Function Shaping Stand" for less than $50. You can get the 3D model and PDF plans HERE
No! While glassing is a new skill for many of our builders, it is not to be feared. If you follow our how-to’s and do some prep work, you will be fine. If still unsure about it, test out the process on a couple scrap pieces of lumber. Glassing is one of the most rewarding parts of the process and it's a great skill to have in your tool belt.
