The Archive
A curated record of past commissions, singular woods, and notable builds. Each board shown here was crafted for a specific rider — shaped, veneered, and finished by hand in our workshop.
This archive is not a range of preset options. It’s a gallery of possibilities. A way to study form, proportion, material, and the quiet details that define a true custom build.
Let these boards serve as inspiration, not instruction. Your board will be its own original.
Saugatuck, MI - 2025
Lake Shore Resort Custom
A custom commission for the iconic Lake Shore Resort in Saugatuck, Michigan—an intimate, midcentury-inspired hideaway overlooking the dunes and wide horizon of Lake Michigan.
This board was designed as a functional sculpture for their guests to enjoy on the water. Built with a rich teak veneer, clean white rails, and custom Lake Shore branding, it nods to the resort’s serene architecture and warm midcentury modern palette.
Crafted in Chicago, delivered to the lakeshore, and now a signature element of their waterfront experience.

Chicago, IL - 2025
Statesider - Figured Walnut + Brick Red
A custom Statesider built for a Chicago local who carves out calm on the water between the pace of the city. Launched from Diversey Harbor, this board blends Midwestern craftsmanship with urban ritual—an escape just beyond the skyline.
Featuring bookmatched figured walnut along the deck and our signature brick-red rails, the board carries both warmth and precision.
Crafted in Chicago for someone who knows the city's pace—and how to find stillness just offshore.

Lake Travis, TX - 2018
Lonestar Wakesurf
A one-of-one wakesurf board commissioned by a Texas client, featuring a maple Lone Star inlay. Crafted from figured walnut, cherry, and maple hardwoods and resin-tinted composite rails and tail section, this board remains one of our most distinctive early commissions — a blend of regional pride, sculpted veneer work, and modern surf craft.

Galveston, TX - 2018
Tanker Surf SUP
A custom Surf SUP built for riding Galveston’s long, rolling tanker wakes. Crafted from cherry hardwood with a maple accent stripe, black composite rails, and a leather carry handle, this board pairs fast paddling with durable construction. An early commission that captured the grit and charm of surf culture along the ship channel.

Maui, HI - 2019
Custom Longboard
A custom longboard crafted for a Maui client, built with matching cherry veneers on the top and bottom and finished with our signature maple tail accent. Deep black composite rails add durability, while a solid wood tail block reinforces its classic longboard profile. This commission showcases early Jarvis construction: balanced, clean-lined, and built to perform in both slow rollers and open-water glide.

Grand Haven, MI - 2019
Family Touring SUP
A paulownia-skinned touring board built for long, glassy miles on Lake Michigan. This 2019 edition features lightweight paulownia rails, a recessed standing deck, and our earlier Jarvis logo. Used by a young family along the Grand Haven shoreline, it became a steady platform for morning paddles, kids learning balance, and slow adventures just off the beach. One of our most beloved early touring shapes, and a reminder of the quiet simplicity that inspired Jarvis from the start.

Charity Build, 2019
Flatwater Foundation Wakesurf
A one-of-a-kind wakesurf board commissioned for the Flatwater Foundation’s Dam That Cancer fundraiser, built in our Austin workshop with a maple signature patch, cherry veneer deck, and black rails.

Lake Austin, TX - 2018
Signature Jarvis Wakesurf
Built in our original Austin workshop, this 2018 wakesurf features a cherry top and bottom with a maple nose patch and our old Jarvis branding. Photographed on Lake Austin, it reflects the early days of the brand—simple materials, long Texas evenings, and boards made one at a time for local riders chasing waves.
