A great joy for beginners. Take your time, have fun and enjoy the process. I’m a hobby wood worker and this was a fun build. Don’t be scared or worried with minimal tools and patience you can build a paddle board.
Very nicely cut and perfectly fitting. Unfortunately two of the tabs were broken off during transport, but an easy fix.
Did this board over the winter for my wife to use. You don't need a lot of tools or years of woodworking experience to build one of these boards, just time and patience. It is very helpful to watch the online videos. You can customize the layout anyway you want to make it your own. I used 3/16" cedar on the bottom and 1/4" Cyprus, Mahogany and Walnut on the top, the rails are Cyprus and Mahogany 1/4". Personalizing decals with rice paper was also a neat idea, also hand carved the sea shell in the bow, I have paw prints on the top in memory of my best friend Calvin. We christened her on July 4th, 2024 at Lower Bolton Lake Ct. She paddles very smooth and stable with my wife on board (approx. 130#). I did try it and it still supported me at approx. 190# but sat lower in the water and not as stable. So I now have another project for the fall..........the 11' 4" model. Can't wait to start!!!!!

I’d love to write a review about my Jarvis Boards frame kit but, after 17 days, it still hasn’t arrived. I emailed the company inquiring about the whereabouts of the kit after 8 days, and instead of a reply from the company regarding the status of my kit, the following day I received an email from UPS notifying me that the shipping label had been printed and my delivery was on the way from CA to FL via UPS ground. Fast-forward another 9 days and it still hasn’t been delivered (I’m hoping it arrives later today). This company isn’t very good at fulfillment. What they are good at is sending A LOT of unsolicited emails and taking so long to fulfill your order that they kill your initial enthusiasm to build a SUP. If you need to wait a few weeks before you start this project, then this company might be a good fit for you. Next time I think I’ll spend my money elsewhere.
The frame kit arrived promptly, and I had it fully assembled in just over an hour. I watched the entire series of YouTube videos that Jarvis has produced, and it gave me amazing results. The final coat of epoxy is just setting up a I write this, and I've already ordered another frame kit, so I can build the touring model. I can't wait to hit the water with my new board!

Frequently Asked Questions
Boards typically take between 20 and 60 hours to complete depending on the size of the board, prior experience and complexity of the design. Your board can be built step by step, on your own schedule, whether this is an after-work hobby or you're a weekend warrior.
Your order may arrive in multiple parts do to production schedules & warehousing locations.
Frame Kits: We laser cut and ship these to-order and average a 2-day turnaround but this can vary by demand. Usually no longer than a week.
Lumber: Lumber is milled to order and typically ships within a week to two weeks.
We’ve designed our kits so that they can be built using a limited number of expensive tools. At a minimum you’ll need a good sander, a block plain, clamps, a handsaw and router.
Yes! Although we cannot ship certain supplies like epoxy & varnish, we can ship our Frame Kits most places in the world.
No! Our kits are designed to be built on a flat level work surface. One way is to use a board across two sawhorses. Alternatively, you could build this "Multi Function Shaping Stand" for less than $50. You can get the 3D model and PDF plans HERE
No! While glassing is a new skill for many of our builders, it is not to be feared. If you follow our how-to’s and do some prep work, you will be fine. If still unsure about it, test out the process on a couple scrap pieces of lumber. Glassing is one of the most rewarding parts of the process and it's a great skill to have in your tool belt.
