1. Choose the Right Board for You
We have board models & sizes available for all types of paddlers.

2. Order Plans or Frame Kit
The build process starts with the internal Frame. You can build it with our instant download Plans or save time by ordering one of our pre-cut Frames Kits.

3. Source Deck Lumber
Most builders source the outer deck "skin" from their local lumber supplier or Big Box Store. We also offer pre-milled options for your convenience.

4. Order Finishing Supplies
Ok, so the board isn't 100% wood. You will need to waterproof your board with fiberglass and add a few plastic parts like a fin box.

Testimonials
You Asked. We Answered.
What tools do I need?
We’ve designed our kits so that they can be built using a limited number of expensive tools. At a minimum you’ll need a good sander, a block plain, clamps, a handsaw and router.
How much skill does it take?
We started out just like you, tinkering in the garage wondering "can I really build this?" The answer is yes! We’ve designed our kits to be beginner friendly so you do NOT need to be a woodworker to successfully assemble a board. Take your time, enjoy the process, and use hand tools when not confident with an electric power tool. In addition, we’ve created a number of options to help provide instructions including, a how to guide book, instructional videos, and direct technical support to help bring your board to completion.
Do I need a special table to build on?
No! Our kits have built in precision cut rocker tabs, so you don’t need to create a special “rocker table” saving you on costs and time.
I’ve never used fiberglass & epoxy before… is it hard?
No! While glassing is a new skill for many of our builders, it is not to be feared. If you follow our how-to’s, watch some videos beforehand, and carefully prepare your surface, you will be fine. If still unsure about it, test out the process on a couple scrap pieces of lumber. Glassing is one of the most rewarding parts of the process!
