How long does it take? - Boards typically take between 20 and 60 hours to complete. What tools to I need? - We’ve designed our kits so that they can be built using a limited number of expensive tools. At a minimum you’ll need a good sander, a block plain, clamps, a handsaw and router. For a complete list of tools, check our latest blog post.
Do I need to build a special table? - No! We’ve designed our kits so that you don’t need to create a special “rocker table” which only adds costs and time to your build.
Do you have the wood for the skins available? - Yes, you can choose either strips or planks of our Pre-milled Paulownia wood.
What instructions can you provide?- We started out just like you building boards and boats one at a time in a two car garage so we know exactly the concerns that you have. "Can I really do this?" The answer is yes! We’ve created a number of options to help provide instructions including, a how to book, an online web course, one on one direct video coaching.
